But Wait... Haven't We Been in a Recession?

Apparently not.  Despite the doom and gloom forecasts, wailing about the housing crisis, jobless claims, and F-E-E-L-I-N-G-S that we're in a recession and have been for oh, about 7 years (roughly), we're not.  We haven't had a recession that entire time, including right after the 9/11 attacks.

The media has been trying to push us into one so they can point to how tax cuts, the Bush Administration, Global Warming, and making fun of John Kerry have all led to a failed economy.  Even the linked article can only point to expectations of "reduced growth".  Last time I checked, something that was still growing didn't meet the definition of something that was receding.

Just sayin'
