The (Almost) Ideal Watch

Pretty close to what I want from a watch.  Not too bulky, stylish, and has a cellphone built in.

Here is the product page with all the features (and it's got a lot!) in detail.  It's an unlocked phone so you'll be able to use it with any carrier.  No page at Amazon yet, so I'm not sure if there is an easy way to get one here in the United States.

Now if they can just fit in a PDA with holographic projection, I might start wearing a watch again.

1 I'm still waiting for the two-way wrist TV.

2 PDA with holographic projection should do two-way calling (think Princess Leia in Star Wars "Help me Obin-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!"), project movies and TV, and work as computer screen.

I doubt it's for use in the US.

In Europe, you can just change a card if you switch carriers.

All phones in the US are proprietary AFAIK.

4 Engadget it usually pretty good about pointing out stuff like that, but maybe I missed it.  The tech should still make it here eventually though.  Cellphone companies here suck.  I remember the first time I was going to switch carriers.  It was way before they started offering free phones for signing up.  "What do you mean I can't use my old phone?"

I thought they were lying to me just to make me buy a new phone and walked out.  Jerks.
