But Wait... Haven't We Been in a Recession?
Apparently not. Despite the doom and gloom forecasts, wailing about the housing crisis, jobless claims, and F-E-E-L-I-N-G-S that we're in a recession and have been for oh, about 7 years (roughly), we're not. We haven't had a recession that entire time, including right after the 9/11 attacks.
The media has been trying to push us into one so they can point to how tax cuts, the Bush Administration, Global Warming, and making fun of John Kerry have all led to a failed economy. Even the linked article can only point to expectations of "reduced growth". Last time I checked, something that was still growing didn't meet the definition of something that was receding.

Hey, when did you start a mee.nu site? Good to see you have one. As for the economy, its fine, and it would be better if we didn't have to pay the Republican Tax, AKA, the media and Democrat talking heads (yes, I know I'm being redundant) demagoguing and trying to convince everyone its all going to hell.

Thank you very much. I'm enjoying it so far. Linky-love would be great, but I would never ask Ace or anybody else for one. Patterico offered and I'll always be grateful for that. He's truly a stand-up guy. If the stuff is good, people will start checking it out. I'll never be one of the big sites, but I'd like to have a place that is fun and interesting to visit.
